Obama: America is still a "Triple-A" country
President Obama said Monday that America remains a "Triple-A country" despite the decision by ratings agency Standard & Poor's to downgrade U.S. debt in the wake of the fight over increasing the debt limit.
"Markets will rise and fall," he said. "But this is the United States of America. No matter what some agency may say, we have always been and always will be a Triple-A country." (watch his comments on the credit rating above)

i have no idea why is obummer still claiming we are a AAA. this is what a good president would try to do to cool the storm. if he were to say, "thats it, were screwed" the market wouldnt survive that because the people's confidence would rupture, it would be instant death. he most likely is doing it for politics because if the US survives such a shock, he is guaranteed a loss in 2012.
