Why they didn't give him the kosher meal? Then you have more kosher meals and the price for each meal will go down.

But to give him so called "halal" food is no good idea, because Muslim terrorists who would most likely prepare this muck will profit and use the money for evil purposes.

He's on deathrow already. There is no need to give him any food, just let him starve to death.

Kosher meals may contain alcohol such as vanilla extract used in baked goods which is prohibited by Islam, so they can't eat all kosher food, but in general kosher meals would also be acceptable under Islam. I would think if he was really a religious type person in the way most Americans understand that, he would be more concerned with going to hell for killing his wife than eating the wrong thing, but we all know Islam doesn't consider wife killing to be a sin.
