Chicago, IL - The Agudas Achim North Shore congregation on North Kenmore was burglarized Saturday night.
Police say the thieves broke through a lower floor window and vandalized the synagogue's charity box.
Detectives believe the thieves are the same people who stole computers and audio visual equipment from the synagogue a week ago.
In February 2006, vandals broke into the synagogue and spray-painted racist and anti-Semitic graffiti on its walls and windows.
Synagogue officials hope people will donate funds to help recover the costs of their loss. [chicagonews]

They should have a security camera. Everyone should have a security camera these days. (Although I really don't like the implications of it).

With all due respect, Masha, security cameras can not and will not prevent criminal acts and terrorist attacks.
They will most certainly, however, create a global police state prison; far worse than we in the West used to attribute to the Soviet Bloc.
And, the prisoner population in this gigantic police state, will be made up from only law-abiding citizens.
Want to stop attacks on synagogues?
Armed and trained Jewish militia patrols and guards are the answer.
Want to END TERROR THREATS PERMANENTLY?
That is the easiest thing to accomplish!
First, pass a federal law, or an Amendment to the Constitution, declaring Islam to be a global political terrorist movement rather than a religion; as such subject to no protections whatsoever under the U.S. Bill of Rights and U.S. Constitution.
Second, ROUND THEM ALL UP, AND THROW THEM OUT OF THE COUNTRY ONCE AND FOR ALL.
Immediately execute all arrested terrorists, because terrorists always stage terror attacks to demand freedom for terrorists already behind bars.
Then secure and guard our borders like any sane people.
Finally, restore Constitutional Government in America.
In Israel's case, a Revolt overthrowing the Bolshevik Oligarchs and establishing a truly Jewish State is the only solution.
We can all take photos of a beautiful America and safer world afterwards, with our personal cameras.
