According to Real Clear Politics he is now leading in the electoral vote as well:

It's the way they count votes in the American Electoral college.  A state is given a number of points based on the census poll.  If the candidate get's the majority of votes in that state, he or she get's those points and then if he or she get's the majority of those points, he or she get's to be the president.
