That's $20,000 on each of the 50 million poorest Americans. Officially there are about 44 million poor people in the USA. If Obama just gave them in cash their "share" of the $1 trillion he spends on welfare programs (up 32% since 2008), they wouldn't be considered poor anymore, in fact most of them would probably have to start paying a hefty income tax if their income increased by $20,000. Poverty is defined as an income of $23,050 for a family of 4.

For example, Florida pays for education if you are low income so those people who are without jobs could go and learn needed skills. Can someone explain to me how is that possible that people sit at home all day, do not go to school, and are not looking for jobs? And after that complain about their lives or gov.

Most of the welfare programs are designed to make people stay in the dependent underclass and be captive democrats. The leftists who create all these schemes are that cynical. They don't want to end poverty and create self sufficient people.

Obama unilaterally dismantled the welfare reform of the 1990s and has made it very easy to qualify for welfare. Its all about keeping people dependent and buying votes.
