Facebook Threat Against Lapid Results in an Arrest
(Wednesday, February 20th, 2013)
A 29-year-old resident of Petach Tikvah has been taken into custody, believed to be the man who threatened Yesh Atid leader MK Yair Lapid on his Facebook page. The threat read “In Adar we will destroy the leftists including Yair Lapid and his friends. We will hang them as we did Haman and his sons.”

The rhetoric contained in the posting continues; “…The Magen David should be removed from the flag and replaced with a swastika” in reference to the election of Lapid and his colleagues to Knesset.

Police report the suspect in custody is connected with the so-called ‘price tag’ attacks, adding after he was arrested he explained “I am allowed to express my opinion”.


He was remanded in the Petach Tikvah Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday morning 10 Adar 5773.

Kind of a stupid thing to do but Israeli leftists that threaten right-wing individuals (or Arabs that threaten Jews) would never be prosecuted for this.
