How can I change the language of my context menu back to English? I was messing around with language bars a long time ago and somehow it made two Japanese tabs in my context menu. Been like this for a year now I think.
Thanks.

It would be helpful for anyone trying to help you if you revealed which operating system (Windows, Linux) and version (XP, Vista, Win7) or Linux distribution. Each of these have different ways of setting the system language...
I will assume that you are using a version of Windows..

In firefox:
if you have the menu bar its:
tools -> options -> context -> take a look at the middle and lower boxes.
In firefox, if you don't see the menu bar:
click the orange [firefox] button -> on the right column: options -> options -> context -> take a look at the middle and lower boxes.
In Internet Explorer 10:
upper right theres a gear icon -> internet options -> general -> at the bottom is a [languages] button.

Windows 7
I mean the context menu when I right click on my desktop, the internet one is fine.
-
Is the button loose

Is that the right mouse click menu that has the jappanes items in it ? In windows some programs add items to that menu when they are installed.

Yes it is, how do I get rid/change their language back?

Do you know what function do these tabs have ? If it is a third party software you install then probably the way to go is either uninstall the program or change its interface from the program itself.

Programs that add menu items that I know of are ccleaner and archiving software like 7zip or winrar.

Try to reach the interface settings of this program. Also, check that your location is not set to Japan in the windows language and local settings, you reach that from the control panel.

I don't follow your line of thinking ?!

Ok how do I reach the interface settings?
My location on the language settings is Ireland.

Open the intel program and look there for program setting. In windows program, usually there is some "settings" or "preference" option in the tools menu.
-
I've clicked Options and support, then Preferences and got 5 toolbars.
Application Mode Selection Dialog (Clicked)
Profiles Warning Message (Clicked)
Tray Icon (Clicked)
Balloon Notification (UnClicked)
Tooltips (UnClicked)
Then I went to Information Centre and it shows System Information and on that list it says Default Language: Japanese (Japan)
There is no way that I can see to change it. What do I do?
-
What is the Information Centre, is that part of the program ?
I don't have a concrete idea of what to do next. I would google the exact name of the problematic program with additional "change language" or something like this in the search query. Because usually the problem you are facing happens to other people.

Look at the problem described here: Someone had Hebrew in the context menu of some intel program I am not sure if it's the same as yours. They instruct him to delete some file.

Hello,
Remove the following files from c:\Windows\System32:
igfxrheb.lrc
igfxres.dll
NOW YOU CAN ENJOY INTEL GRAPHICS IN ENGLISH...!!
NOTE: The 1st file is one of many language files, which you don't need. If you take a look at your SYSTEM32 folder, you'll notice there are a lot of igfx***.lrc language files. You can safely delete most of them, BUT DO NOT delete igfxrenu.lrc !! that's the English US file.
The 2nd file is the actual GUI, and a new one will be created automatically, only now it will be in English. :-)

Thanks Zelhar, that link worked.
Here's what I done.
Control Panel / Clock Language and Region", and click on the "ADMINISTRATIVE TAB (we were so close earlier on),
then Change system Locale to English.

Awesome :)

you were making weird typing errors.

That's very good you two! Great work!
I forgot there's an operating system underneath that web browser.
