Title: Low information voters
Post by: Rubystars on August 29, 2013, 02:31:13 PM
Last night during the lunch hour three, let's call them "low information voters", were having a chat in the same room I was in. I wasn't part of the conversation, but I could overhear everything because they talk very loud.

They were talking about a possible trip to Canada one of them wanted to take.

This person asked "What form of government does Canada have, is it a communist country?"

Another question was "Is Amsterdam in Canada?"

Then: "What is Amsterdam?"

One of her friends started talking about the mayor of Canada.

Speaking of low information voters, I was once in a Duane Reade drug store getting a cup of coffee.  So there I was standing by the coffee machine when an mmm hmmm young woman asked me which side was right.

I kid you not.

I believe you. I've seen crazy stuff like that before too. When I was a cashier one asked me if he should set off a roach fogger in his house since his wife was pregnant.

The same one last night who was talking about the mayor of Canada also said that it's a short "Ferry ride" of about 15 minutes from Canada to Amsterdam.  :::D

I ended up having to leave the room because I was going to end up saying something if I didn't leave, even though it was pretty entertaining.
