Senate panel votes to authorize Syria strike

President Obama cleared his first hurdle on Wednesday in his push for a military strike in Syria, as a key Senate panel voted to authorize the use of force.
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted 10-7, with one senator voting present, to approve a military strike in response to a deadly chemical weapons attack last month. The full Senate is expected to vote on the measure next week.

What does this mean? Don't they still need Congress?
-
What does it mean? That the US is one step closer to continuing the perpetual state of war that it seems to enjoy so much. Need Congress? This president doesn't need Congress for anything. In fact, he considers Congress to be an impediment to his imperial rule.

Now whatever will be the outcome, its results will be blamed on the shoulders of the congress.

Fortunately it looks like the House is going to reject it.

But we were told that we shouldn't be so arrogant by policing the world when we were under Bush.

Oh those evil Republicans want to stop the war. Which is different from those evil Republicans who want to start wars.
Now I'm confused.

One thing shall be certain that whether the strike at Syria occurs or not but the protracted war of muslamic infighting shall continue till their end.
