Title: JTF meetings question
Post by: Lewinsky Stinks, Dr. Brennan Rocks on January 20, 2014, 06:55:34 AM
All,

A while back I was discussing the timing of the JTF meetings with somebody and they told me or implied that there was some kind of halachic reason why they could not be on Saturday nights. Can somebody explain this to me or am I remembering it poorly?

First off, the ending (and beginning) times of shabbat vary based on the day and time of year.  So I think it woule be confusing to post a different meeting time each month.  On another note if you eat at a kosher establlishment on a saturday night, you're basically eating food that's almost two days old.  Anyway sorry for any typos.

Kosher places open after Shabbat but many only do so during the Winter.
