So much power, prestige, ego, money and kinoh are involved that Eli Yishai has received genuine death threats from fellow Shas Sefards over this.

The Israeli political system has become like an unresolvable Chinese Puzzle, and it may indeed involve a body count "Day of the Jackal"-style to free up the remaining pieces!
