Shas or Eli Yishai's breakaway party or both?

Shas gone forever. No seat will be named shas. Deri or yishai might get a seat but for a new or different party.

Deri will keep Shas. Yishai will either quite or make a new party. They say possibly join the Tekuma faction of Bayit Yehudi (who are also looking to split).
I would personally, probably vote for a Tekuma/Yishai ticket.

Yishai is as bad as the phony Kahanists that are running & a liar to boot.

yishai is joining with Uri Ariel to make a "nationalist haredi party."   I personally think that Yishai is more nationalist than Ariel, but neither are very good.   But since this move tears up the Shas party, I applaud it and am thrilled to see it.

Those who will vote for Deri are truly bonkers.  Shas was bad enough.   The Yishai-less, Rabbi Ovadia-less, Aryeh Deri personal play thing is evil beyond recognition.  How can anyone with morals vote for it?   Pure leftist garbage.

Yishai just announced a new party. He is calling it Marian and if not approved YACHAD. I prefer Yachad. Looks pike their is a real chance of Eli + tekuma + Chetbone splitting from BY. And BY moving towards Likud 2.

Maybe even Otzma joining them (eli tekuma and Chetbone)

I'm sure there will be some holdovers from the original shas voters who prefer to vote for crooks and will side with Deri.  But that will hopefully result in only a few seats if any (hopefully none).

So far all the attempts by shas splinters to enter the Knesset have failed, such as Peretz in 1992, Kaduri in 2003, Amsalem in 2013.

Yitzhak Peretz was the first chairman of shas back in 1984 and 1988 and he was loyal to rabbi Shach . In 1990 Aryeh Der'i concocted with Shimon Peres and Chayim Ramon the "dirty trick" and it forced Peretz to split off shas. Then in 1992 Peretz joined with Yahadut Hatorah but he resigned because they didn't gain any more votes with him.

As for Kaduri- his grandson wanted to be placed in a high ranking place in the list of candidates. When he didn't get what he wanted he ran independently as "Ahavat Yisrael" whith his famous grandfather as his mascot.  He only fetched something like 2000 votes.

Peretz? Kaduri? Elaborate.

But this time, Yishai has some rabbinic backing, and Deri is an ex-convict.   (Then, he was only a pre-convict lol).   Shas has also lost its mascot, so if Yishai presents himself as continuing Rabbi Yosef's legacy (which he is trying to convey), it could be seen as credible.  Of course Deri will claim he is the only real Shas and that Rabbi Yosef would be supporting only him.  He got the daughter of Rabbi Yosef already to back him with statements to this effect.
When others broke away from Shas, it was seen as breaking away from Rabbi Yosef.  That is no longer the case since he is no longer with us.

It has already been proven that backing by the Ashkenazim Gdolim is all but worthless to the Sefaradi voters. Deri is convict- remember back in 1999 he fetched 17 seats with his anti law anti ashkenazim "He is innocent" campaign. His conviction is a badge of honor. What's more important is that Shas brings home the bacon (punt intended). They employ allot of people through their institution and provide substandard backward "free" education from kindergarten to grave to their core voters.

With 3 "right wing" parties, Bayit, Otzma and now Yachad, it could split the right wing vote enough so that Herzog & Ho Livni waltz on through to the premiership even if they get only 15% of the vote, with the threshold having been recently raised from 2 to 3.5%!

Eidelberg holds that common sense dictates a 6% threshold, that would compel the right to form one large party.

Bay it and Yachad will pass. Otzma is a question. Perhaps they will join Yachad.

Otzma will probably bid to join Yachad. I sense it will come. Otzma needs to join someone in order to get in the Knesset. Yachad is projecting more seats and will need more representatives. It will likely include Otzma and/or Tekuma.

Marzel, Ben Ari et al will only join Yahad if Eli Yishai commits that he will never again countenance 'Land for Peace' as he did when he was in Shas.

Such a union will pressure Bennett to move to the right & give up on his alphabet-soup division of Eretz Yisrael in to "Areas A,B,C,D and E"!

Even Pipi will be forced to the Right, which is all for the good.

I think Yishai has some sephardic rabbinic backing - was not referring to ashkenazi.
It is pretty well established that the party loses some support with Yishai's exit.  He was very popular.

.... Their are other individuals such as Rabbi AmSallem but I doubt that Yishai will want him in his party at least RIGHT NOW in these elections. He is too risky to have in his party at least right now.
