No thanks. It may as well be hosted by Al Sharpton
Former porn star Jenna Jameson will be the subject of a reality show documenting her conversion to Judaism and her upcoming marriage in Israel.
Jameson’s Israeli fiance, diamond merchant Lior Bitton, told Israel’s Walla news that the show is in its early production stages, the Times of Israel reported Tuesday. It is unclear where the show will air.
Jameson, 41, retired from pornography in 2008 after winning over 35 adult film awards in a 15-year career. She announced in June that she was converting to Judaism to marry Bitton. Since then, she has repeatedly shown support for Israel and showcased her kosher cooking on social media.
Bitton, 41, told Walla News in the interview that it wasn’t easy telling his family that he was marrying the former “queen of porn.”
“Look, I didn’t come to my mom and say, ‘I’m dating the biggest porn star in the world.’ I mean, there are porn stars, and then there’s Jenna Jameson,” Bitton said. “At the start, I didn’t tell her who she was. It was a slow process. I let her know in bits and pieces until eventually she was able to accept it. And then it was fine.”
The show will be modeled on reality shows such as “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and will focus on Bitton and Jameson’s private life in the lead-up to their marriage.

I thought Israel only has marriages with real converts. Isn't this intermarriage. It is people like this that give a bad name to real converts. Israel doesn't recognize many Orthodox conversions outside of Israel but somehow people with no intention of keeping Halacha get away with fake conversions in Israel.
-
If she's a sincere Orthodox convert, what can you say, she can make teshuva, and then you have no right to talk about what she used to be.

From what I read on it, she makes a legit challah and shabbat dinner, keeps kosher, and defends Israel on twitter. So then how can one assume it's not sincere? What if it is sincere?

Based on that, she's your sister, you have no right to ask "what if?" unless she does something so horrible that now you need to warn Jews to keep them from being led astray by her. That doesn't seem at all like what is happening. The leader of the Jewish people, the guy who cleaned Moses' tent really, really carefully and well, Joshua, married the most famous prostitute in the entire world. She turned into a righteous tzadekette. As much as pornography is shameful, and we can't make a comment that indicates we support her very public past in it, but now we're up against the most repeated law, do not oppress the convert, and Rabbi Mizrachi said from some source that you're not allowed to bring up past sins of real baalei teshuva, which seems to apply here. So, in sum, what a wonderful thing that she left her way, and is a good Jewess today.
Is it fair to demand that she speak against the immoral industry that she was a part of, or does that count as embarrassing her? Should we just expect her to speak against it herself?

This person has been married 300 times.
The last guy demanded she be decent....remember the mixed martial arts guy?
Now she wants to be a Jew? Will she be able to keep her legs closed?
-
And why is everybody suddenly converting?
I'm converting too. I'll spend all of 10 minutes doing so.

If it's a real Orthodox conversion, it takes years.

I just saw her titter account...I mean twitter account. Her avatar looks very modest. She's got no clothes on. I'm sure shes very sincere.
Maybe clothing is unkosher.

Can I smack you a few times? I was kidding that it takes 10 minutes.
Can I smack you another 10 times with a tire iron?

also don't take that the wrong way. I just meant that you didn't get it.
no violence intended.

Ok saw it. If she converted with the intention of keeping that picture up, she didn't accept the laws of modesty when she went into the mikveh, and is not Jewish at all. Seems she did, and should not be considered a Jew with that up there.
Reading more though, I don't think she actually converted yet, but if she wants to go through with the process, the pictures are coming down. Maybe the Rabbi is taking it a step at a time, but as is, I can not believe that she actually converted yet, and if she supposedly did, she didn't according to Torah.

If I decided to go for a job interview, I'd update my resume and whatever I have in terms of online credentials such as linkedin or facebook or what ever.
I would do all that right away, not wait until after meeting the hiring manager.
-
Will she keep Shabbat? That's the most important of knowing who's a real convert. It's also what makes someone a Ba'al Teshuvah and also what makes someone Religious as opposed to just being Traditional.

I agree, one in the conversion process should be working towards being in line with halacha right away. Maybe they're starting her off on the Noachide laws, but when she comes for the interview at the mikveh, the picture has to be down at least on what she controls, or she might as well hug a hog in the water.
I could also stretch hiring manager to be the husband, and that's why Rabbi Mizrachi said the worst converts are converting for marriage, because you want to get laid, not keep 613 commandments and dedicate your every last energy to perfecting the world. If you find a girl in the conversion process or at least who was searching for truth, and you bring her in, she has a better chance of being a real convert. And if you want to convert to Judaism and keep up your sin, it's the worst thing that you could possibly do for yourself, stay a goy, Judaism is for life, and then everything you do is multiplied.

Kosher-style restaurants are worse than treif, because if you eat there with the happy Jewish owner every day, you don't cry so hard about it on Yom Kippur.
-
Considering her history of many short marriages...how long will this one last until she converts to islam and marry ahmed?

I said "what if" in response to a guy who basically assumed it was fake. "What if?" to him as in what will the consequences be to him if he's wrong, to get him thinking about it. That was my only point, not to bash anyone.

Even if she converted for real and does real tchuva every day and suffers, it is between her and Hashem the type of punishment she will receive for all the porn films she did. Just as murder, one cannot do real tchuva, someone who poisoned the minds of millions of men and possibly women, cannot receive tchuva from the victims.
-
Being suspicious by nature, she'll probably be as Jewish as Sammy Davis, Jr. or Elizabeth Taylor. I'm even more suspicious due to the fact that she's making a reality TV show out of it.
Maybe I'm wrong in judging her sincerity without knowing her, that's true.

If she leaves that picture up while she's in the mikveh, she didn't convert at all. Also, am I right in saying that because when someone makes a real teshuva, his sins get turned into mitzvot, that in order to make teshuva at all, she has to come out publicly against the pornography industry and fight against it?
-
Don't anyone go there because it's like the limit for being porn, but this was a good picture on their page.

Hahaha!
So she'll have to shut down 'Club Jenna' and start 'Jenna Against Porn'!

Here we go....Pornography is another no no. Keep yourselves clean of heart and mind.

I would think all of what you are saying is correct.
Doing real tchuva will benefit. However, it won't erase the punishment of the past.

Benefit? If we go by what Rabbi Mizrachi says, she signed up to go to heaven. She'd get all of what she would have got after in this world. Better to fight against it to make it easy on yourself. I guess she can still become a Noachide and not marry the guy, and doing teshuva for that counts for something, but no one claimed you don't get what you deserve, you just don't want to scare anyone with it (or do you?).
