Germany's biggest synagogue reopens as symbol of Jewish rebirth
Aug 31 06:06 AM US/Eastern
Germany's biggest synagogue, which survived the horrors of the Nazi holocaust and the oppression of communist rule, reopened on Friday as a symbol of the rebirth of the Jewish community.
A special ceremony was held at the century old red-brick building in East Berlin which narrowly avoided being destroyed in the Kristallnacht -- the night in 1938 when Adolf Hitlers followers torched Jewish homes, businesses and places of worship.

Start the countdown 'til the first anti-semitic graffiti is painted on it. I'll give it less than a month.

I'd say a week.

The National Democratic Party (Germany's Nationalist Party) still hate Jews. The British and French Nationals do not. I bet the nationalists are throwing a little hissy fit over this.

National democratic, that sounds so similar to national socialist, it should be banned.

Oh there's been attempts to label it as a decendant of the nazi party and ban it. They've been overturned by the supreme court.
I talked to someone who supports it only because of immigration and disagrees with its anti-semitism, and he says Hitler worship is still active in the party, and holocaust denial. Compare that to Britain and France, who are openly looking to cooperate with Jews. Germans haven't changed even after the holocaust.

Why would doing something evil (like the holocaust) make people improve? Evil generally leads to more vil, it takes something good to break the cycle of evil. I thought holocaust denail was illegal in germany?

Now it's tme to tear down that [censored] built on the Temple Mount and rebuild the Temple.

Its illegal to publically do it. That doesn't mean that there are not people who still do it.
You'd think after being occupied for so many years, and showed a different "culture," they'd change a bit, but juding by their nationalist party, they haven't. They have changed in that the party is pro-Russia. But the party has not changed on Jews, and its "anti-zionist" too. The head of it met with David Duke.

Exactly!
And sell the rubble by the bag to righteous gentiles to pave their outhouses and pigstuys with.

They should have used those bricks to build a sinagogue where anti-semetism isn't still running ramped...
all the jews living in germany are traitors and are committing untold acts of treason living and attributing to wealth in a country that committed genocide to millions of their relatives years ago...
Germany is still among the most anti-semitic countries in Europe... right behind Poland and France

Russia (whether or not it is considered Europe) has to be up there these days.
