Title: Muslims Want To Buy Israir
Post by: Binyamin Yisrael on October 14, 2020, 10:53:25 PM
Will Israel still be involved in security? Maybe this is what Chaim warned about Emirati Arabs taking over Israeli companies.

Israeli regulations require that Israeli based airlines be majority owned and effectively controlled by Israeli citizens and entities. The Dubai based group may be involved as a part owner. However if we put the regulations aside, I don't think if they did hypothetically owned a tiny Israeli airline as a security or 'strategic' risk.

El Al has to be owned by citizens. It was in the news recently when a religious Jew form New York bought it. I don't know if it applies to Israir.

Why would they want El Al? Too much press. A small airline is much safer for smuggling out sex slaves.

No, they want to buy Israir. El Al was bought by a religious Jew from New York who made aliyah. But he bought it with his father's money and people claim his father would be running it and his father is not an Israeli citizen.

Israir is mostly for domestic flights to Eilat but they have some flights to other countries. They used to fly to New York using second hand Boeing 767s that they bought from Icelandair.

I don't really care about El Al in this conversation other than to say it's the opposite of what a Dubai "businessman" is looking for in an airline. They won't want press for the burkas on the windows. Oh and not just sex slaves. Their prison camps to build big pretty buildings always enjoy new workers to replace the dead.

Left to their own devices and unopposed, they
would chas v' shalom try to buy all of Israel.

It was on the news today again. The owner of the interested Dubai company is a Russian Jew with Israeli citizenship.
