IDF Preparing for Possible Israeli Arab Rebellion
(IsraelNN.com) This week the IDF Senior Command held a workshop to identify and prepare the IDF for potential future conflicts in the next five years. Several main scenarios were identified. Among these threats was a potential rebellion by Israeli Arabs, who have become increasingly hostile to the State of Israel.
The top threats identified were: a hostile country not bordering Israel achieving nuclear capability (e.g. Iran), a war with Syria, another war started by the Hizbullah, a confrontation with Yesha terror groups, and even a deep freeze in relations with post-Mubarak Egypt. Any one or a combination or some or all of these threats is thought possible to occur. In addition, the IDF is preparing for the possibility of the end of the Hashemite dynasty in Jordan, an Islamic revolution in Saudi Arabia and a rebellion by Israeli Arabs.
