Germany reconquered the territory from Italy in September 1943. In early 1944, the Gestapo forced all Jews in Tirana to register with the German officials. Consequently, many Jews fled to supportive Albanian villages outside of the cities. When the Germans demanded a list of Jewish families living in Albania, the officials refused to disclose the information; instead the Albanians forewarned the Jews.

500 should first read from site that he post before he starts spreding lies.even on that site sad that jews where killed by albanians or send to contrations camps.And there was 600 jews in albania before ww2 now only 10 so who is wrong and who help who?your girlfriend is a great politican,she got convict you in belive that albanians saved jews in ww2,ha ha ha i can't belive this.and i am so tierd of people saying BIG POPULATION OF JEWS IN ALBANIA when there is a 10 people!unbelivable!so 500 first read before posting!
