I don't use it, even though I should considering I hike quite a bit. I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate how it feels, it is extremely hard to get off of your hands, and burns like a son of a gun if any runs into your eyes.

I hate the feel of suntan lotion as well, but anytime i'm swimming or out onthe jetskis, I pretty much have to wear it since my skin is so light from my mothers German side, I will get as red as a tomato if I dont wear it.

My dad was lucky though, olive skin and he never had to wear the suntan lotion and never got burned.

Always use OIL-FREE for your face!!!  Regular sunscreen (with oil) clogs your pores and is a direct cause of breakouts.  There is spf 45 and spf30 or any spf you want also for oil-free, so it doesn't protect you from the sun any worse, but it will be better for your skin on your face, which you don't want to put oil on.

A nice hat is just as effective and a whole lot more comfortable.

Get some specifically for the face so it won't hurt your eyes.

I never use sunblock. The last time I have used it as a child.

I am a very lightcoulored type, but it seems to be that I am half-immune. ;D

I saw some recent information about the fact that sunblock is supposed to be bad for you (cause cancer?). Sorry, I can't give a link - I don't remember where I saw it. It said that the best thing is to allow yourself to tan naturally and gradually over a course of many days. Something like 10 minutes in the sun one day, 15 min. the next, etc...

It might help that you're in your ancestral homeland. Maybe if I lived in Europe I wouldn't burn as much either. However it's still better to wear sunblock because skin cancer can be really scary.
