There's not anything bad about a rabbi just because he's of Ethiopian heritage.  There's only something bad about them if they are Conservative, Reform, paganistic, or from one of the cults of non-Jews that claim to be Jewish like the Black Hebrews.  If he's an orthodox rabbi, then there shouldn't be a problem.
