Compare and contrast: G-d's Chosen People are being obedient, contrite little dhimmis as usual, accepting continued barrages as usual, while the brave Sinhalese Buddhists of Sri Lanka are on the verge of finishing off their jihad problem once and for all--which in this case has meant capturing and shutting down two shahid camps:
Gazan "Militants" Continue To Fire Missiles Into Israel

JERUSALEM – Palestinian militants fired a rocket from Gaza on Saturday that exploded close to the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon without causing any damages or injuries, an Israeli military spokesman said.
Two more rockets were fired into southern Israel from Gaza on Sunday morning, neither causing damage or injuries, the military said.
Israeli forces and Gaza militants are supposed to refrain from attacking each other under a fragile cease-fire. The truce has been breached several times, making diplomatic efforts to build a lasting agreement difficult.
The rocket attacks were the first from Gaza since Thursday, said the Israeli military spokesman, who declined to be identified under army regulations. There was no claim of responsibility from any Palestinian militant group.
Israel and Gaza's Hamas rulers stopped fighting in late January after a fierce three-week Israeli offensive meant to halt eight years of near-daily rocket fire from Gaza at southern Israel.
Nearly 1,300 Palestinians were killed in the fighting, about half of them civilians, according to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights. Thirteen Israelis were also killed, three of them civilians, according to the government
Since then, Palestinian militants have fired rockets sporadically toward Israel and killed one soldier on Tuesday. Israel has conducted retaliatory strikes and pounded border tunnels it says Hamas uses to smuggle in weapons from Egypt.
Hamas has ruled out a long-term cease-fire with Israel if officials do not open sealed border crossings with the coastal territory. Israel is unlikely to do so while the militant group rules Gaza and holds captive Israeli soldier Gilad Schalit, who was seized in a cross-border raid in 2006.
President Barack Obama's Mideast envoy, George Mitchell, completed his first visit with Israeli and Palestinian leaders on Friday evening, but little substantive work can be done until Israel completes its elections.
On Saturday, Jordan's King Abdullah II called for the immediate resumption of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks after meeting with Mitchell in Amman.
Abdullah said Mitchell "insisted very serious negotiations should start on basis of a two-state solution as soon as possible," according to a statement issued by the royal palace.
"It's important not to lose time, and to move immediately to resume talks," Abdullah added.
On Saturday, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan continued his criticism of Israel, this time for arresting leading Hamas parliamentarians in an interview with the Washington Post. In the interview, Erdogan described the West Bank and Gaza Strip as "an open-air prison" and said Israel's moves provoked Hamas.
"You expect them to sit obediently?" he asked in the interview.
The Turkish Prime Minister's frank criticism has come as its relationship with Israel appears to be in a downward spiral.
On Thursday, Israeli President Shimon Peres had a heated exchange with Erdogan at a panel discussion in Davos, Switzerland in which he accused the Israelis of killing children.
Later on Friday, Erdogan suggested the high Palestinian civilian death toll in Gaza during Israel's operation was intentional. On Saturday, Erdogan said the Israeli government "should check itself" over its war in Gaza.
"They should not exploit this issue for the upcoming elections in Israel," he said.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor condemned Erdogan's comments.
"If Mr. Erdogan wants to be heard, he needs to be more truthful and more respectful of the facts, not to mention to show more respect to the Israeli president," he said.
Sri Lankan Military Captures Two Tamil Muslim Terror Camps
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090201/ap_on_re_as/as_sri_lanka_civil_warSri Lanka military says it captures 2 Tamil camps

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka – Sri Lanka's military captured two camps used by the Tamil Tigers' suicide squad, killing 12 rebels and seizing a large number of weapons, officials said Sunday amid mounting concern for civilians trapped in the war zone.
According to the Red Cross, some 250,000 noncombatants are trapped in the 115-square mile (300-square kilometer) area near Mullaittivu where advancing government troops have boxed in the separatist Tamil rebels. The government puts the number at about 120,000.
"The humanitarian situation is precarious if not critical," Red Cross spokeswoman Sarasi Wijeratne told The Associated Press. "We have appealed to both parties to allow safe passage for the sick and wounded so that they can get medical treatment," she said.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa's government, which accuses the Tamil Tigers of keeping civilians in the war zone to use as human shields, had given the insurgents Friday and Saturday to let the noncombatants leave the area.
By the time the deadline expired, only 236 civilians had emerged from the battleground to cross the front line into the government-held areas, according to the Media Center for National Security.
The Tigers deny holding civilians and claim the military offensive is preventing them from fleeing. Although the 48-hour period did not amount to a cease-fire, the government was expected to step up its offensive starting Sunday.
Wijeratne also said the Red Cross has no information about any civilians fleeing, adding that the last medical evacuation it conducted was on Thursday.
"What we are concerned about is the safety of the people there. That's why we are asking both parties to ensure there is safe passage," she said.
On Saturday, ground troops fought their way into the jungles to uncover two camps of the Black Tigers, the suicide bombing squad of the Tamil Tigers, north of Mullaittivu, said an official of the media center who cannot be identified under briefing rules.
He said one camp comprised a two-story underground apartment with luxurious bedrooms, bathroom, an electricity generator and a refrigerator. In the other camp, the troops found a large number of weapons including mortar launchers, rifles, rocket propelled grenades, light machine guns, grenades, mines, bombs, detonators, gas masks and Tamil Tiger uniforms.
The bodies of 12 rebels were also recovered, apparently killed by the troops in the fighting, said military spokesman Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara.
"It is a big success because that means the Tigers are leaving their camps and fleeing," he told the AP.
The claim could not be independently verified because journalists have been barred by the government from going into the conflict zone. The Tigers also did not immediately issue any statement on the current battle situation.
The military believes it is now close to destroying the Tigers, who have been fighting since 1983 for a separate homeland for ethnic minority Tamils in the north and the east.
There are no accurate figures for the casualties in the recent fighting around Mullaittivu. The government denies reports that more than 300 civilians have been killed.
More than 70,000 people have been killed in the civil war, which grew out of complaints by Tamils, who have suffered decades of marginalization under successive governments controlled by the Sinhalese majority.
What's the difference here? The world media is obviously demonizing both the Israelis and the Sinhalese, and inventing the most absurd lies imaginable about Fakestinian and Tamil so-called "civilian" casualties, but what is significant about this? It's simple: the Sinhalese are choosing to ignore the petromedia's propaganda. The Sinhalese, whose Buddhist religion is by nature pacifistic, are finally all done with putting up with jihad and are responding to it in kind, but the Jews, whose history has been very warlike when need be (consider what the Israelites of the Joshua era did to the Canaanite/Midianite/Amalekite proto-Islamic Nazis when G-d commanded them to), are completely resigned to living out the entirety of their lives under nonstop missile attacks and suicide bombings and cannot fathom anything that would hurt poor, innocent Arab "civilians".
