Online Petitions to Undo Freeze
« on: November 29, 2009, 07:56:13 AM »
(IsraelNN.com) Jewish groups and activists are using online petitions to try and place pressure on the US government and on the rest of the Jewish leadership to accept the right of Jews to live in Judea and Samaria.

A “Petition For Jewish Rights In Jerusalem” has been jointly initiated by the Orthodox Union, the Zionist Organization of America, the Hebron Fund, the Jerusalem Reclamation Project, the Manhattan Beach Jewish Center, the National Council of Young Israel and the Unity Coalition for Israel. It calls upon the US government to “support the right of Jews to live anywhere in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.”
The signatories further request that the US President enable the implementation of legislation passed in 1995 supporting Jerusalem as the undivided capital of Israel. He should "stop invoking the national security waiver to prevent the Embassy's relocation to Jerusalem," the petition states.

A second petition, initiated by activist blogger Yosef Rabin, is addressed to “all member organizations of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.”

"In August of 2005 most of US Jewry stood in silence as the beautiful communities of Gush Katif and Northern Samaria were destroyed,” it says. “We watched as our Jewish brothers were ripped out of their shuls [synagogues], yeshivas, homes and even the deceased from their graves. We watched the soil of life turn into the soil of death and destruction. We watched all this in silence because we foolishly followed your lead. Now we as a community must rectify this grievous sin.”

It enumerates the dangers inherent in agreeing to hand over the biblical heartland to an enemy and ends by exhorting the leaders of the Jewish groups to make a stand: “The Land of Israel has been our national homeland from the moment G-d told Abraham 4,000 years ago to 'Go to the Land that I shall show you' (Genesis 12:1). You must get up and proclaim before the entire world that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish Nation of the past, present and future!”

The banding together by the nations of the world against Israel is the guarantee that their time of destruction is near and the final redemption of the Jew at hand.
