Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu related this evening to Hamas statements that the negotiations for the release of kidnapped soldier Shalit have been halted in response to what Hamas claims was an Israeli assassination of a Hamas terrorist in Dubai. "If Hamas wants the deal, it will be. If they don't want make a deal - it will not be," stated Netanyahu.
The PM made the statement at a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi which was held at the end of a joint meeting of the Israel and Italian governments.
