The pictures are beautifull.

It seems, that you have ice and snow in NY. I thank god, that this time has ended before two days in my city. Three months without a break was a bit too much and caused lots of problems.

There's a grist mill near where I live.  It was built in the 1700's.  I don't know if it's really used today.  I think it's just a land mark. 

The dog belongs to my sister.  And I agree that she's super cute.  She always wants to eat whatever we're eating, rather than her own dry dog food.  I feel bad for her.  So sometimes, I sneak her food.

I like the Grist mill juxtaposed against the low lying water basin, and the ducks, Lisa.  Can you manually set your camera to take in more light on cloudy days?  I only ask because it will make the image brighterwhich will show a crisper image.

Thanks JTF Enthusiast2.  I don't know about the manual configurations.  I took those photos in easy mode.  I just turned off the easy mode.  And I see there's a way to adjust some settings in the AWB menu.  There's an option for Tungsten, daylight fluoescent, daywhite fluorescent, shade, overcast, and daylight.  Maybe I need to play with those settings some more.

Overcast it is Lisa on a day like that.  You will be doing the equivalent of lengthening the amount of time the lens stays open to let more light in. 

For first pictures, those are terrific

Those are great pictures, Lisa. I especially like the one with the water and the ducks and also, the manhatten skyline from far away with the tree in it...that is very interesting.

VERY nice pictures! I would love to visit New York some day. I've only been to Niagara Falls and Buffalo. Your pictures make it look very inviting. Chloe is a doll!

Chloe is cute. She reminds me a little of my dog Mikey. Just don't feed her onions or grapes or chocolate or raisins, those can be dangerous.
