I agree absolutely... These freaks are doing this much more than the media reports. It is a form of terrorism which the mainstream media is completely ignoring. Here in CA we had two cases I can remember in the last 8 years.... Of course they always claim to be 'mentally incompetent' but what is strange is just prior to their committing their terrorist acts they appear completely 'normal'.

Omeed Aziz Popal, 29, was arrested for a San Francisco-area hit-and-run spree that killed one and injured 14 others. SF Chronicle reporting:

San Francisco police spokesman Sgt. Neville Gittens said the attacks in the city occurred at 12 locations over a 20-minute period.
“The hits were intentional,” he said, noting that police are treating them as assaults.
Gittens had no information about a possible motive.
Popal was arrested after patrol cars boxed in his black Honda SUV, its windshield and right front headlight smashed, outside a Walgreens store on Spruce Street between California and Mayfair in the Laurel Heights area.
A dental office manager, who identified herself only as Kira, watched from a second-floor window as police dragged the driver out of his vehicle.
“He was absolutely indifferent, no fear, no expression,” she said. “He was like a zombie.”
Architect Jeremy Warms also saw police pull Popal out of the SUV and sit him down on the curb.
“He looked calm and pretty clean-cut, like a normal guy,” Warms said. “He sat on the pavement for a good 25 minutes. I don’t think anyone said anything to him. They put him in a police car and took him away.”
This evening, it was unclear exactly how many people had been injured, and in what order the incidents occurred. The police reported the following injuries:
– Two people, one of them a child, were seriously injured on the 3500 block of California Street in Laurel Heights.
– Three people were hit at California and Fillmore streets. Witnesses said they included a man with a broken hip and a woman with a gashed head.
– Two people were seriously hurt at Bush and Pierce streets.
– One person was seriously injured at Bush and Buchanan streets.
– One person suffered minor injuries in an incident at 1850 Fillmore St.
– Two other people suffered minor injuries when they were hit at Pine at Divisadero streets.
– Two people were hit and suffered minor injuries at Divisadero and Bush streets.San Francisco police spokesman Sgt. Neville Gittens said the attacks in the city occurred at 12 locations over a 20-minute period.

The SUV struck two people in front of the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco on California Street, a few blocks from where the rampage ended.
Blood covered the sidewalk in front of the center’s gift store entrance, and 50 feet farther down the sidewalk lay a mangled bicycle.
Security cameras in front of the center captured images of the incident, which happened at 1:12 p.m., according to Aaron Rosenthal, spokesman for the community center.

In March 2006, Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar, an Iranian-American, intentionally, as he confessed, hit people with a sport utility vehicle on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to "avenge the deaths of Muslims worldwide" and to "punish" the United States government. While no one was killed in the attack, nine people were injured (none seriously).

Shortly after the attack, he turned himself in and was arrested. He pled guilty to nine counts of attempted first-degree murder, and in 2008 was sentenced to 33 years in prison.[2]

In one letter, Taheri-azar wrote, "I was aiming to follow in the footsteps of one of my role models, Mohamed Atta, one of the 9/11 hijackers, who obtained a doctorate degree."[3]
Local Muslim leaders condemned the attack and the attempt by the assailant to link the Qur'an to his actions. After a debate as to whether it was as an act of terrorism, UNC Chancellor James Moeser stopped short of calling it a full-fledged act of terror.

The article, called "The Ultimate Mowing Machine," shows an illustration of a civilian four-by-four truck and suggests turning the vehicle into a spike battering ram, Middle East Online said Wednesday.

"If you have access to firearms, carry them with you so that you may use them to finish off your work if your vehicle gets grounded during the attack," the article says, warning operatives to be prepared to die for the cause.

"After such an attack we believe it would be difficult to get away safely. Hence, it should be considered a martyrdom operation," it said.

Details of the al-Qaida's online magazine called Inspire, published by the Yemen-based wing of the terrorist organization, encourages Muslims to recruit Westerners to the jihadi cause.

Al-Qaida supporters are also urged to launch attacks in Israel, the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Denmark, Holland and other countries "where the government and public sentiment is in support of the occupation of Palestine," the site said....
