Palestinian murders IDF soldier in suspected terror attack at Afula bus station By BEN HARTMAN
11/13/2013

A Palestinian teen stabbed an IDF soldier to death Wednesday morning inside a bus at the Afula bus station.

The soldier was named as 19-year-old Private Eden Atias, a resident of Nazareth Illit who had enlisted in the army a few weeks prior to the attack. He was reportedly on his way back to his base when he was murdered.

Rosenfeld added that the attack is being treated as ideologically-motivated, as the man told investigators that he stabbed the soldiers because he has relatives in prison in Israel.

Magen David Adom paramedics said that at 8:38 am they received a call that a young man had been stabbed inside a bus at the Afula bus station. When they arrived they said they found the victim, “an 18-year-old youth with stab wounds across his body” in critical condition.

MDA quoted paramedic Hadar Bachar as saying that when they arrived at the scene they found the victim sitting in a seat near the back door of the bus, with wounds across his body in great pain. He was then taken to the Valley Hospital, where later police announced he had died.

The attacker is a 16-year-old Palestinian teen from the Jenin area, according to security services.

Atias was to be laid to rest on Wednesday at 11 pm in the military cemetery in Upper Nazareth, the IDF spokesperson said.

The Israel Prison Service stated after the killing that two of his cousins are currently in prison in Israel. One of them, Muhammed Juwadra, is serving three life sentences for the murder of Israelis Cartiso Radikov and Amos Mantiu, a Bezeq employee shot dead in the village of Baka al-Gharbiya in 2003 during the Second Intifada.

The other cousin is serving a 12-year-sentence for attempted murder.

And he will be placed in a comfy Israeli jail and only release as a goodwill jesture to the Fakestinians.

Rather than just tackle this murderer, they should have taken the very knife he used and stabbed him in the throat and leave him there to bleed to death and suffer a terrible death.

Jewish blood should never come cheap. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Well, I see there are some that are unhappy about this tragic event. I know I certainly am unhappy about it. The little son-of-a-b**** should be hung tomorrow morning and his family along with him. But there will be "liberals" who will say how barbaric I am. "He is only a child." "It isn't his fault." "He was raised that way." Ef those people straight-away. We should not be made to accept these attacks, without a very, very dramatic response. I'm angry... really angry, because I know the little bustard will get away with it and we will have to feed him and take care of his personal, medical, and even religious wants. He wouldn't be breathing at this moment if I were in charge. I'd order the arresting force to shoot him on sight. My he and his family rot in hell for eternity.

Please tell me. Please.
Why Isn't in Israel a law which states that every terrorist should be executed?
Why isn't there a law like that.
Why should ths lunatic spend a few years in jail just to be released in the next "Peace talks".

Because here in Israel we know the death penalty doesn't work, in fact if you look around the world you will see the countries that still use the death penalty are all Arab..…and the USA.

fight terror with terror!!!!! every time an Israeli is attacked, attack the attackers home town.
Every time an Israeli is killed kill 5 times as many in the attackers home town. sad to say, if nothing else eventually there will be no more Arabs left in Israel to attack.

Thats what happens when you allow Kerry into Israel spreading his dovish rhetoric. No more piece-full visits from Kerry. Deport Palestinians. Confront Iran.

Again and again, I implore all Israelis to enact a death penalty for murder. No matter what this person's age, this was premeditated murder. He deserves the death penalty. So do his cousins. They all come from an evil tree. The family should be expelled from the country ASAP. No more quarter for this family.

No. Try him for murder and expel his family from the country. 3 strikes against them: 3 murderers in the family. Obviously a culture of hate.

The editor of the J.Post should be stripped of his authority and thrown in jail. HOW DARE you imply by your head line that this was anything other than a terror attack !!!

IDF Private Eden Atias, 19, of Natzrat Illit, has died after an Arab terrorist stabbed him in the neck and upper body in the Central Bus Station at Afula, in northern Israel, Wednesday. The attack took place inside a bus. Pvt. Atias was on his way to the military base in which he served.

"The Israeli soldier who was stabbed this morning by a Palestinian on a bus at the Afula bus station has died of his wounds in hospital," police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AFP.

The attacker has been identified as an Arab aged 16 from the Palestinian Authority city of Jenin, who is reportedly staying illegally in Israel. He attacked the soldier at about 8:45 a.m., and stabbed him repeatedly. Civilians who were present at the scene neutralized him and stopped the attack at a certain point.

The soldier received initial medical care on the spot and was taken to Haemek Hospital in very serious condition.

An eyewitness named Tal told IDF Radio that she was walking past the bus when people began shouting “terrorist!” and a large commotion ensued. “The terrorist tried to run away but the police managed to catch him,” she added.

Another eyewitness told Maariv that the soldier, who is about 18, got on the bus at Nazareth, together with the terrorist. The soldier fell asleep on the way to Afula and at a certain point, the Arab began stabbing him over and over again, until other passengers grabbed hold of him and alerted security forces.

IDF Radio said that the attacker confessed that he left his home and got on the bus at Nazareth, with the intent of stabbing civilians, supposedly as revenge for the fact that his uncles are being held in Israeli jails.

The attack appears typical of the terror strikes that the Palestinian Authority (PA) under Mahmoud Abbas encourages through incitement, in a way that allows the PA to maintain that it is innocent of actually planning and organizing attacks, and that it did not send the terrorists on their missions.

Israel has weakly protested the PA's non-stop incitement for years, but has never gone as far as to make “peace talks” with the PA conditional on a complete cessation of incitement.

PA residents are routinely exposed to television, radio and printed media content that glorifies murderers of Jews and encourages violence against Israel. When a PA youth seeks to attack Jews, he does so knowing that he has the full moral backing and encouragement of the PA, which will then glorify him, pay him a salary when he is jailed, and demand to free him in an Israeli "gesture."

Now after reading this properly reported version of the event, ask yourselves dear readers what the h ell is wrong with the editors at the Jerusalem Post !?? They can't even report what happened out of fear of some political correctness or who knows what. Sickening !,

I'm not going to blame the Arabs, what's the point, we know what they are. They come from a pathologically sick society, a mentally deranged culture of hate, violence, & bigotry. Our neighbors are criminally insane.
My criticism is of our dummy leaders, spineless morons, who free Jew-killers for no good reason but their own cowardice, who negotiate with savages when we all know this is futile, for concession after concession, for supporting an insane idea of a failed Arab state in Judea & Samaria.
The blood of this Jew is on the hands of our politicians.

The family is now supplied with EU money
and the b@stard will enjoy the Dolce Vita in Israeli custody, where an army of teachers, trainers, social workers, psychologists and doctors will do everything, to make him feel as comfortable as possible.

If the world doesn't try to kill us in Auschwitz or through Arab tanks and fighter jets or through Arab terrorism or Iranian nukes, the world tries to kill us through boycotts, enforced multi-culturalism in Israel against the will of the Israeli people. What is staggering is that Netanyahu is not doing anything to counter the evil and the hypocrisy of the world and he apparently doesn't fight anti-Semitism in Israel.

The political elite of Israel also seems to have grave intellectual difficulties to understand that a nation is built through national unification, solidarity, loyalty and national self determination, hope, courage and strength and through national expansion - not through abandonment, self hatred or territorial withdrawal.

Yes I know that my talkback is long and touches upon subjects that might be "unrelated" to this article taken at face value, but this Arab violence against Jews in Israel and around the world is part of a bigger problem that Israel's leadership ignores.

Arab Murder of Soldier Fuels Hopes for Kerry’s Threatened ‘Intifada’ Kerry warned Israel faces a new intifada if it does not choke itself to death. A lone PA terrorist, on cue, killed a soldier, and everyone screams ‘Third Intifada.’ It won’t happen – unless Kerry continues to incite.
Tzvi Ben-Gedalyahu
November 13th, 2013

The IDF has identified the victim of Wednesday’s Palestinian Authority terrorist attack as 19-year-old Eden Atias, of Nazareth Illit in the Lower Galilee.
The 16-year-old attacker, from Jenin, pounced on his helpless victim while he was sleeping on an Egged bus at Afula, approximately five miles north of Jenin

The bus had stopped for a break before its scheduled trip to Nazareth Illit, and it was empty except for Atias and two other soldiers. The murderer ran out the back door but was quickly overcome by security guards who had been alerted of the attack by a women soldier, apparently unarmed, who fled the bus while screaming that a soldier has been stabbed. The terrorist said he acted out of revenge for Israel’s having sentenced two of his relatives to jail, one of them with a life sentence for terror.

That is all the State Dept. needs to tone down its response to the attack, in contrast to Tuesday’s bellyaching over reports that Housing Minister Uri Ariel hired an architect to draw up plans for new homes and apartments in the controversial E-1 area in the city of Maaleh Adumim and in smaller towns in Judea and Samaria. When Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu got wind of the news, he promptly Ariel to back off and freeze his plans. The State Dept. will say in a more diplomatic tone, “If Israel simply would release all terrorists and prisoners, there will be peace” and never mind the victims of the revolving door terrorists who return to their favorite occupation of killing Jews.

The latest murder at the hands of Palestinian Authority Arabs, the sixth this year, occurred only days after the liberal bleeding heart wing of the defense establishment served up warnings that Israel is about to face a third intifada. Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon, a lot more level-headed than most of the “experts” who are panting after the Obama administration to show how much they cooperate with the United States, insisted, “There is no sign of a popular uprising or so-called third intifada.” Almost every one of this year’s murders has been carried out by lone terrorists, not connected with any terrorist organization.

But U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who thinks he knows more about Israel’s security needs than anyone else in Israel, piped up last week with a warning that Israel faces a “third intifada” if it doesn’t give up its crazy idea that 600,000 Jews in Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria have a right to remain there as Jewish people in a Jewish state. Hamas, which praised Wednesday’s terrorist attacks, definitely agrees with Kerry and is active in Hevron, Jenin, Shechem and other areas, but there is no popular support in Judea and Samaria for a revolt against Israel. The average Mohammed does not want another round of violence, retaliation and the resultant economic stagnation that only would further postpone into eternity the date for establishing the Palestinian Authority as a country.

The average Mohammed is more concerned with Abbas’ corrupt regime and his single-minded aim to head a new Arab state that is totally dependent on foreign handouts and ignores the daily needs of its own people. Every effort by the Palestinian Authority to organize “million man protests” has succeeded in bringing out 1,000,000 Arabs minus the last there zeroes. The people aren’t interested. The violence comes from lone rangers, usually teenagers or young men who have grown up with 20 years of incitement from their PA schools and Muslim preachers.

They don’t need Kerry to teach them to kill, but the Secretary of State’s statement is music to the ears of Hamas and the terrorist arm, known as the “military branch,” of Abbas’ Fatah party. The threat of an intifada is simply another gimmick to pressure the Netanyahu government to fold up, go back to the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, and wait for the next boat. The problem is one of “adaptive expectation.”

If you think inflation is going to go rampant, you go out and buy like crazy, which encourages sellers to raise prices and bingo – inflation. If the Obama administration continues to spout off the threat of violence, it will happen. When Kerry responded rhetorically to an Israeli reporter last week and said, ”Do you want a third intifada,” he really meant, “I want a third intifada if that is what it takes to earn the Nobel “Peace” Prize.
