The Israeli people and the media especially are just sick people. All the time they raise fake alarms about boycotts and embargoes, actually they ask for them. Harper's visit received low coverage. Almost as if the media is ashamed he speaks that way.
By the way the new conservative government in Norway also made a decision to be more balanced in its middle east policy rather then the pro-Arab official policy of the socialists. It also made very little headlines.
I think that it is inevitable that as the West is overrun by Islam, there would be a backlash against it and so a more favorable view of Israel among conservatives at least. If not out of love of Mordechai at least out of hatred of Haman.
