My meetings with reform rabbis.
« on: July 28, 2014, 08:21:09 AM »
once I was in the hospital & the nurse asked me if I would like a visit from a clergyman from my religion.
I answered sure why not.
A little later this man walks in asks if I wanted to see a rabbi.
He was not wearing a yarmulka so I screamed at him I said a wanted a rabbi not a minister in my religion rabbis wear yarmulkas.
Next when I was visiting the Phoenix area a man walked up to me also with yarmulka & said he was Rabbi Barton Lefton.
I said to him am I supposed to be impressed? Where I come from every Chaim,Moishe & Mendel is a rabbi nothing special if you were posek or a rosh yeshiva I'd be impressed, but where I am almost the everybody in town has smicha so you with your bare head are a joke to me.
