Poll: Labor and Likud Still Tied, Yishai Misses Threshold
Labor, Likud still vying for top spot at 24 seats each; Meretz weakens, Yishai's party misses threshold.

Labor and Likud are still tied for the top spot in the 2015 elections, according to a survey published by Channel 2 Monday night.
Both parties are due to gain 24 mandates in the 20th Knesset, with Jewish Home in third place with 16 seats.
The Arab parties would form the biggest bloc, if running together, with United Arab List (UAL) gaining six seats and Hadash and Balad gaining five seats altogether for eleven total.
Officially, however, Moshe Kahlon's Kulanu would be the fourth biggest Knesset party at ten seats, followed by Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid and the hareidi United Torah Judaism tying for fifth with nine seats each, and Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman's Yisrael Beytenu at eight seats.
Bottoming out the list are Shas with six seats; Meretz, with five seats; and Eli Yishai's Ha'am Itanu party, which would not pass the Knesset threshold.
The survey does not include the Otzma Yehudit party, which did not pass the Knesset threshold during the elections for the 19th Knesset.
The survey was conducted among 500 respondents for Midgam, who constitute a representative national sample of the Jewish population aged 18 and over. The maximum sampling error is ± 4.5%, Channel 2 said.
The poll was conducted before recordings of Shas's spiritual leader, R' Ovadiah Yosef, were leaked Sunday night showing the Rabbi calling Shas chairman Aryeh Deri "evil," however - and before Deri submitted his request for resignation Monday night.
