Unfortunately, the unions/bureaucracy/"feelgood movement" IS all of America. We Americans want nothing besides ever-bigger paychecks and early retirement. We identify with commie public unions because we want the same things they do, and identify with feel-good humanists because we too want to live without morals and have sex with whoever we want and do all the drinking/drugs we want, etc., etc.
In California in 2005, 65% of Californians sided entirely with the teachers' union's agenda in the Schwarzenegger initiatives special election. That's tough to dismiss.
It is impossible to attack movements, governments, and cliques without acknowledging the huge role the public plays in supporting them.
