Serbia bought 3 batteries of Chinese medium-range air defence system FK-3.

It has a horisontal range of 5km to 100 km and vertical range from 50 m to 27 km.

This is the highest range and the biggest capability air defence system Serbia has ever had. Order made and payed in 2019. Still not known when the delivery is.

Serbia was about to have a military exercises in Belarus, with Belorusian and Russian army. EU peasants where insulted by this and started pressuring Serbia not to do it, so Serbia decided to stop all military exercises and activites with everyone in the next 6 months.  >:(

Serbian MiG-21 fighter jet crashes near village during routine flight. Both pilots where killed in a crash.
MiG-21 was made in 1986,last overhauled in 2016. Was fully functional before take off. Pilot did not catapulted, but steered the plane away from a house, crashed in the backyard.
Only 2 MiG-21s are (where) in active service for training. Others are retired.

Joint action 2020:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRkPSh5N-2k

You people have all this good material and are level 1 in your propaganda. Cut out the scenes that drag for more than 5 secs unless they're really pretty, put some inspirational music made by some serbian and write who under the movie so your 2-4% of viewers research him, and now you have people watching the same thing and screaming awesome in all languages. And make that early scene with the missiles with tracers firing and it'll be great.

I would have beaten the cameraman with the stand if he gave me this too, like "see everything's in the shot", but the explosions and interesting bits are often in the corners, and like you can zoom when it's going boom and no one wants to see the vehicle sitting for the duration. Cameramen are artists and not accountants. Can be salvaged for a kickass 5 minute propaganda film if you give it to a video editing guy not related to the cameraman. You could probably do it and the army would give you a smiley sticker if you show them before posting it.

You are right. I was watching the whole thing live, and the cameraman was making the mistakes you meantioned. For example, it showed modernised tank for a few seconds, and then moved the shot to the non-modernised tanks to the right, and filmed them for longer. Very stupid.
But it was the Serbian state television filming the exercise, not the military. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDjpaqSNFE0

No joke. There are a lot of old commies here, we still can't get rid of them. And all that horrible commie "nostalgia" and "heritage" that is still embedded into some people and in the system too. It is a real handicap.

Well in general the chance of one being for a communist and working for state media in a free country is above average.

At begining of the year, Serbia received 4 MiG-29 from Belarus. It was a donation, of their used planes. We paid for overhaul and first phase of modernisation in Belarus.

Serbia now fields 14 MiG-29 (11 single seater, 3 dual seater - for training). That is the bare minimum for a single squadron.

All single seaters will be modernised further, in the second phase of modernisation.

Even when second phase of modernisation is complete, we will still be behind Croatia (who will get 10 + 2 Rafale F3-R, far more advanced fighters), Hungary who is leasing 12 Gripen C/D (a lighter but again far more advanced than our 29s) and Bulgaria (who is buying the latest variant of F-16V Block 70, far more advanced than our MiGs).
At least we are no longer enemies with Hungary, since 2013.

BARS-2021, a joint aviation exercise with Russia, kicked off in Serbia

"The Russian-Serbian exercises "Bars" (Brotherhood of Aviators of Russia and Serbia) are annual and are held alternately on the territory of the two countries. This year they started on October 11 in Serbia and will last until the 16th. They involve MiG-29 aircraft and Mi-8 and Mi-35 helicopters of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of Serbia."
