20-year-old Carmiel woman dragged into car, driven to Safed area where assailants rape her repeatedly; victim undergoes several operations in hospital following attack

Carmiel Police are asking the public’s help Wednesday in the investigation of a rape that occurred last week.
 

The incident began last Monday at 11 p.m., when a 20-year-old Carmiel resident was walking along one of the city’s streets when a vehicle containing three unidentified Arab men pulled up in front of her. The three then stepped out of the car and dragged the woman inside; they proceeded to drive apparently to the Safed area where two of the men raped her for a number of hours while the third kept watch.
 

The Arab men then drove her back to the spot they had kidnapped her from.
 

Carmiel Investigations Unit Chief Roee Waldman said the woman later made her way to a Nahariya hospital, where she underwent several operations.
 

Police intervened immediately after the woman arrived at the hospital, but there are no suspects in the case as of yet.
 

According to the victim’s testimony, she was apparently driven by the Arab men in a white BMW; however, she was unable to help police with composite portraits of the assailants or offer any information that would lead to an arrest.
 

Police are now asking residents to come forward with any information that may advance the investigation.

Police report serial rapists in Karmiel

After comparing the stories of three young women who were brutally abducted and raped in Karmiel this past year, local police announced Wednesday that they suspected a gang of serial rapists has been operating in the area.

According to reports on Channels 1 and 10, a 21-year-old security guard who had been working in Israel's central region returned to Karmiel for a visit last week. She told police that a white car pulled up alongside her one evening as she was walking alone. She was then forced inside and, as the car headed out of the city, two of its three Arab occupants assaulted her.

After reaching a forest outside of Karmiel proper, all three proceeded to rape her repeatedly over the course of several hours, she said.

The suspects then drove her back to the city and dropped her off at the same spot where she had been seized.

The woman, who was hospitalized for several days with injuries that necessitated several operations, was unable to provide police with any additional identifying details about her attackers.

The method of the attack matches gang rapes described by two other women, both of whom were forced into cars, driven to a forest near Shfaram and brutalized.

No further details about the rapists were available, and no composite sketch has yet been released. In the meantime, police recommend that women in Karmiel avoid walking alone at night and have asked anyone with information to come forward.

Hmm, after a year of investigation police suspects a gang of Arabs  I guess the whole year they were investigating potential Kahanist or Haredim(religious) involvement in these rapes? Do these morons have anything more specific?

This is a terrible ordeal for these poor young women. I can't imagine the what they and their families go through. The only positive thing out of this tragedy is that there are just a few more Jews in Israel who now understand just how right the great Rabbi Kahane ZT"L HY"D was when he riduculed the notion of "Free people in their own state" as implemented in today Israel.
