Busted: Clinton Foundation told IRS it got no donations from foreign governments for three years

Democratic presidential candidate Senator Hillary Clinton and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, attend church service at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Waterloo, Iowa. The biggest news here may not be the news itself, although it’s certainly significant. That the Clintons lied about where their money was coming from? No surprise. That they’ve been caught red-handed and forced to admit it? Sure, that’s serious news.

But even bigger: The revelation comes as a result of a review of Clinton Foundation records conducted by none other than Reuters – not exactly a member in good standing of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. This follows our item on Tuesday about the New York Times and the Washington Post pursuing the story of Hillary’s influence-peddling in exchange for Clinton Foundation donations while she was Secretary of State.

The bastions of the MSM are holding nothing back in their pursuit of the corruption surrounding Bill Clinton’s Wife and Her Husband, Bill Clinton’s Wife’s Husband. The latest is that the Clinton Foundation claimed on its IRS tax returns that it received no donations from foreign governments between 2010 and 2012. Now they’re refiling those returns. Why? Because, well, you see, what happened was . . .

For three years in a row beginning in 2010, the Clinton Foundation reported to the IRS that it received zero in funds from foreign and U.S. governments, a dramatic fall-off from the tens of millions of dollars in foreign government contributions reported in preceding years.

Those entries were errors, according to the foundation: several foreign governments continued to give tens of millions of dollars toward the foundation’s work on climate change and economic development through this three-year period. Those governments were identified on the foundation’s annually updated donor list, along with broad indications of how much each had cumulatively given since they began donating.

“We are prioritizing an external review to ensure the accuracy of the 990s from 2010, 2011 and 2012 and expect to refile when the review is completed,” Craig Minassian, a foundation spokesman, said in an email.

The decision to review the returns was made last month following inquiries from Reuters, and the foundation has not ruled out extending the review to tax returns extending back 15 or so years.

So let me see if I have this straight: They received tens of millions of dollars in donations from foreign governments. They were sufficiently aware of it to put it in their annual report. But on their tax returns they failed to mention it . . . three years in a row?

That’s not an error. That’s a lie. What the objective of the lie might have been, I could only speculate. But that sort of error doesn’t repeat itself to this extent without being systematic. Someone at the Clinton Foundation – most likely the Clintons themselves – became convinced they could get away with hiding this income from the IRS, and only now in light of the exposure from the Reuters report are they going to go back and re-file to reflect the money they really received.

Is it a coincidence that all of these fraudulent filings occurred during the years Bill Clinton’s Wife was serving as Secretary of State? I supposed it could be, but it’s awfully curious that the accurate filings resumed in 2013 when she was no longer serving in that office.

America, do you need any more convincing that these people are corrupt, and that they use their position in politics primarily to benefit themselves? Because if you’re not there yet, I honestly think you might be beyond hope. It’s so clear that even the liberal MSM is now going after the story aggressively, which tells you they’re convinced Hillary’s dirty and they don’t want to be in a position to have to carry her water next year.

Of course, they could just objectively report the facts about both candidates, but let’s not get crazy here.
