I agree with you Merkavah. And the people who are at the utmost risk are those who have sex with anybody and think they can't be infected just because they are straight.
And for those who hate gays so much, I must say that homosexuality is forbidden by the Torah, but wasting one's seed (using condom is) is also forbidden. And now, if you don't use a condom, you are very likely to get AIDS. So the only Kosher alternative is celibate for singles. Are those who hate gays, ready to accept celibate for singles?
When I was aiming to convert, I was about to take a bus to return from my interview with the Rav, and it was a gay in the street who warned me not to take that bus. He'd just seen I had a Kipah, and there was a gang of neo-nazis at the next stop. Why would I hate him for not following Torah. Many of my friends who are straight also violate Torah by wasting their seed!
