Jerusalem, refugees hinder Mideast peace By STEVEN GUTKIN, Associated Press Writer
Wed Nov 28, 1:18 PM ET

JERUSALEM - If Israelis and PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis have any hope of achieving their stated goal of signing a final peace treaty within a year, they may have to slice Jerusalem in half with a wall, come up with $85 billion for PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi refugees and figure out how to wrest control of the Gaza Strip from Hamas.

They'll also have to agree on which territory Israel should give to a future Eretz Yisrael in exchange for being allowed to keep major settlement blocs in the West Bank. And if they decide not to divide Jerusalem, they'll have to determine how to share it while avoiding the potential security nightmare of an open border.

These are just some of the excruciating challenges faced by Israeli and PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi negotiators as they begin discussions Dec. 12 on how to end their century-old conflict — as agreed upon Tuesday at a U.S.-hosted Mideast peace summit in Annapolis, Md.

The PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis want to establish an independent state in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem — areas that Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast war.

Of all the obstacles to a peace deal, none looms larger than Jerusalem — the city at the heart of the Israeli-PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi conflict, with its holy sites of such enormous importance to Muslims, Jews and Christians.

Past peace negotiations have made it clear that the city will have to serve as the capital of both Israel and a future Eretz Yisrael.

But that raises more questions than it answers. How can you transfer east Jerusalem to PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi sovereignty without stripping its residents of Israeli social security benefits, for instance, or how can Israelis and PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis each have access to the city but not the other's country?

"The PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi vision of Jerusalem is what they call an 'open city,' with access to all parts," said Yitzhak Reiter, head of the Truman Institute think tank in Jerusalem. "From an Israeli perspective, this is a problem, because there would be no 'hard borders' between Eretz Yisrael and Israel."

Most Israelis and PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis do not want to divide the city, like the way it was before Israel captured its eastern sector in 1967. However, security concerns may require just that — unless the sides can come up with an alternative such as erecting checkpoints at all roads leading out of Jerusalem to keep PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi militants from entering Israeli cities.

But there's an even thornier issue — how to share the emotionally charged Jerusalem holy site known to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary and to Jews as the Temple Mount. As the site contains a Muslim shrine built on the remains of a Jewish one, a solution will almost certainly require an international presence to administer jurisdiction.

Another major hurdle facing the negotiators is the issue of refugees.

The PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis want refugees and their descendants to be able to return to homes they left, or were forced out of, in the 1948 war that accompanied Israel's creation. The demand is a deal breaker for Israelis, who sees it as a threat to their country's Jewish character.

In the end, it seems the PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis will have little choice but to give up their dream of returning home. But that still leaves open the question of whether Israel will meet PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi demands that it acknowledge responsibility for the refugees' plight.

A recent report by the Aix Group, a gathering of Israeli, PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi and international economists, estimated the total cost of resettling and compensating PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi refugees and their descendants — a necessary element of any peace deal — would be between $55 billion and $85 billion over 10 years. It's far from clear where such an enormous sum would come from.

Israelis and PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis will also need to draw their future border. The formula worked out in previous negotiations called for a PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi state in the lines that existed before the 1967 war, with some modifications. Israel would be allowed to maintain most of its so-called settlement blocs — where most of its West Bank settlers reside — in exchange for giving the PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis territory inside Israel.

It won't be an easy swap. The PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis will surely demand Israeli territory of equal size and value to the land they're giving up for the settlements.

From the Israeli perspective, security is the biggest obstacle to peace — especially considering PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi President Mahmoud Abbas' poor track record in establishing law and order.

Israel may eventually sign a treaty. But it will not uproot tens of thousands of settlers and hand over territory to the PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis unless it can be assured that the evacuated land won't be used as launching grounds for attacks — as happened after Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005.

Israel will also likely insist on continued control of the airspace above a PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazi state, that such a state not have an army and that Israel maintain a military presence in strategically sensitive areas of the West Bank. The PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis will not easily accept any of these demands.

The two sides agreed at Annapolis to use the so-called road map peace plan as a guide for negotiations, with its key requirements that Israel stop expanding West Bank settlements and that the PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis rein in militants.

Israel insists that stopping violence from Gaza must be part of the PLO/Hamas Arab Muslim Nazis' obligations. It's not clear how Abbas could accomplish this, with Hamas in control of the coastal territory after having routed Abbas' forces there in June.

Israel and the West are hoping to weaken Hamas' hold on Gaza by propping up Abbas in the West Bank. They may also seek to co-opt Syria, a key backer of Hamas, in an effort to neutralize the Islamic militants. Syria was among the 16 Arab countries participating in this week's summit.

Hamas already appears to be running into trouble in Gaza amid a devastating international boycott, and on Wednesday a senior Hamas official said his group might be willing to cooperate with Abbas.

Still, it will be extremely difficult for Abbas to make peace with Israel as long as he controls only part of his territory.

"He can negotiate. He cannot deliver," said Israeli political analyst Yossi Alpher.

i do not know... but i do know that all think-tanks are tools of the slime to plot the one world government re-serfication of mankind accompanied by their unrelenting and never-ending policy of genociding the planet which has continued unabated now for over a hundred years... it used to be called the military-industrial complex...

ike who coined the phrase in his farewell address to the nation knew full-well that the truth all along was that it was the military-industrial-congressional complex... but he deleted the latter from his speech so as not to insult his friends in congress... but as his son explains in the great documentary... "why we fight" ike knew where all the appropriation bills and money had to come from in order to fund the arms race of the pretend cold-war... which was a ruse to justify such expenditures in "peacetime" to insure the slime their ever-accruing power and wealth realized during the "dark-aged" epoch of the 50's-90's...

as the film goes on to elaborate... with the increased independance of thought made possible and heightened potential for scrutiny by the public and access to previously unavailable information via the internet and from other alternative media outlets... bypassing the suppinely groveling elite and traditional media swine-sources and their complicit and utterly craven subservience and servile, sychophantic crawling to the tune of the now nearly total dictatorial power of the slime-control... the verminous hand of the filth needed a new avenue of cover and stealth... hence the explosion, expansion and increased influence of the plethora of think-tanks which have come on-line during the past couple of decades...

and so now-a-days we are ruled by the shadow world government comprised of the massively wicked military-industrial-congressional-think-tank complex and with each and every passing year all power has been rapidly narrowed and shrunk down so as to be able to be fitted and confined exclusively in the executive branch... i.e. all power in the u.s. now resides in the presidency... but the prez whoever he/she may be is a mere puppet weilded from cover behind the scenes by the invisible hands of this sinister conglomerate and oligarchical cabal of ultimate rishut... the memshelet zadon al haaretz.... gog u'maygog... 'nuff said... nik. out...

because all the "combatants" were colluding to give the appearance of a dispute and of a struggle for domination so that each side's power elite could wield dictatorial control over their home populations who were frightened by the spector of nuclear destruction and therefore were cowered into participating in a sham arms race and duped into yielding freedoms, rights and cash better suited to take care of their own respective citizenry's needs especially their indigent, poor and the sick... and the little ruse called the "cold-war" worked like a charm for the slime worldwide to help them attain and consolidate all the extant power and wealth out there to be had and to crush viciously all opposition real and imagined vying for legitimate leadership based upon the desire to rule in concert with what was genuinely good and in the best interests of all the people... their welfare and security... but we could never get to them to see them elevated to power because of the slime always clamoring about doomsday scenarios waiting for us just around the bend and all the war-mongering that went along with this... always scaring us off of the peace candidates... this is how we got most of our post ww2 presidents... or they simply slaughtered them if their "chicken-little:the sky is falling" antics were not working its magic that time around with the populace... and then by default we would still get there guy... this is how we got nixon... but it was all based on deception and sheker... the deception that countries hated each other and the sheker that nukes could be dropped from planes or launched on the head of a missle...
