I felt Chaim was being prematurely enthusiastic. I can't trust somebody who teaches that it is unchristlike to care about protecting the security of your country.  He strikes me as another Dubya--someone professing the Christian faith to get our votes.

I agree. If he wants to do all that peace, love, turn the other cheek to your enemy BS you might as well have an atheist.

"Turning the other cheek" means not seeking revenge on people who have individually wronged you or been a jerk to you, NOT executing justice in society, much less securing the safety of the nation.
