You'd have been almost as big a pain in the bum as I was as a kid! :D

Deep down the the back of our family tree we have an Arch Biship, my cuz Larry  :)

We would spend many a day, were I would drive him nuts with questions about God.

He always answered me and never once pass the buck about just have faith.

I wonder where he is now  :-\

For all those who believe in the "big, melting (slop) pot":

For dinner tomorrow, take your salad& dressing, meat, vegetables, icecream, cheese, crackers, coffee and wine; put them in a food processor, blend for 2 minutes, then eat the resulting slop. And do that with every meal from now on otherwise you're hypocrits.

Well humans were dispersed throughout the Earth after that incedent - and until then (or around that time), the whole human race was supposed to receive the Torah.  But as Avraham was the only righteous one in his generation, it was changed to only his descendants (which later became Yitzchak's descendants, which later became Yaakov's descendants).

That still doesn't answer the question. G-D could have just made 2 nations...................1 Jews ans 2 a homogenous gentile nation. But he didn't. He made 70 different nations. Why?

--- End quote ---
Because the whole point was to scatter people all over the place.  What good would that do if there were only two nations?

Tzvi Ben Roshel1:
(not certain) but maybe 70 nations = to the 70 Jews who went down to Egypt.

Exactly.

That's why we should avoid genetically mixing as much as possible. Who wants one big slop nation?
