It is estimated that only 5,100 to 7,500 individual tigers now remain in the entire world. These remaining tigers are threatened by many factors, including growing human populations, loss of habitat, illegal hunting of tigers and the species they hunt, and expanded trade in tiger parts used for traditional medicines. WWF and its conservation partners are working to combat these threats and save the tiger.

The tiger (panthera tigris), largest of all cats, is one of the largest and most awesome predators in the world. A typical male Siberian tiger may weigh 500 pounds and measure more than three yards from nose to tip of the tail. They can travel great distances and bound up to 30 feet in one leap.

No problem. They are very beautiful indeed especially the cubs.

Thanks be to G-d, for nature......and cameras, so we can appreciate it without any struggle. :)

Animals, are one of G-d's greatest signs. I think this board is quite important, one look at any of the photos here and there is no doubt in believing in God.

Thats even worse. When you catch the criminals and people misbehaving in the street yet you're smiling at them, they probably get traumatised. ;D

I think the tiger would spit them out  :::D

One of my trips, I got to touch a tiger I will never forget it. It is unbelievable how soft they are.

They are the most powerful big cat.

Guys, which animal do you think is more powerful, a grown male tiger, or a grown male polar bear?

Tiger perhaps but it would be a balance of power in many things.

Tigers are very agile, great jumpers and fast compared to Polar bears.

But polar bears can't harm people, right?

Like 'fun' they can't!

They will eat a human in two seconds.

They are one of the most aggressive animals on the planet, and can easily out run a human. There is nothing cute and cuddle about them.

But the polar bear cubs are adorable.  They look just like teddy bears.
