Fifty-seven MKs vowed to vote against a bill legislating compensation for settlers who choose to leave their homes east of the separation fence before a final-status agreement is signed with the Palestinians, according to a petition presented to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Wednesday.

MK Meir Porush (United Torah Judaism), who initiated the drive, said he had obtained oral obligations from other MKs, who told him they would vote against the bill if and when it comes before the plenum.

"I gave Olmert the list now, when U.S. President George W. Bush is visiting, to tell the president that this law, even if it passes, would not make people leave Judea and Samaria," Porush told Haaretz. "On the contrary, it will generate a massive and unprecedented surge of settlement. World Jewry will step in to buy out the houses of those few who would want to leave."

He added: "For every family who chooses to leave, we will have two others coming in to fulfill the mitzvah of settling the Land of Israel."

The document, which Porush authored, reads: "Calling for settlers to leave their homes for financial compensation is not something we are willing to accept in this stage of negotiations with the Palestinian Authority, even those among us who are in principle willing to make a territorial compromise in the framework of a future agreement."

 I didn't say that, well actually first of all, yes someone who shaves with a razer isn't a Tzaddik, becuase thats clearly going agains't the Torah. But in this case I wasn't even thinking that.
 The people in Haaretz and other media sources in Israel for the most part are Reshaim, and it should be assumed that what they are saying are lies, lashon Hara and division making because thats what they have been doing for years.
 - You might say that the Mishna says to give every man the benifit of a doubt. True, but the Hachamim also say that if you see someone doing something wronge you dont have to keep giving him the benefit any more.
 For example if you were somewhere and something of your belonging got stolen. If you know that one of the people in the group isn't a kosher Jew, and has stolen before you are allowed to come up to him and suspect that he's the thief and make an investigation on him.

 I dont necessarily agree with that, but all he said was that if Jewish life is in danger and giving up land would stop that then your allowed (again I dont agree, but dont make a big thing of it).
 If you would see the other things he says, hes great, he drives the left crazy. Why dont you mention the fact that he called Arabs snakes who should all be killed? Or the fact that before Sharon got sick, he said that "this wicked man will be struck and he wont get up" - becuase of the fact that Sharon took Jews out of their homes in Gaza?   - The media and government hates him, and all the other Rabbis and Religious people. All they do day and night is to try to figure out things in order to stop them, so that they can keep Jews ignorant and to keep their power.

Yishai, like his mentor Yosef, may say some good things, as reported today to Bush.

But the problem is that they are in the end ALWAYS bought for $$$. They LOVE money, not necessarily for themselves, but for their Shas party and its institutions. Whereas Kahane & the real tzadikkim CANNOT be bought!

U.S. President George W. Bush implored government ministers Thursday to stay behind Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, urging them to keep him in power.

At a dinner held in his honor at the Prime Minister's Residence in Jerusalem, Bush referred to the prime minister as a strong leader, adding that he holds him in high regard. Bush arrived in Israel for a three-day on Wednesday.

The comments come amid concerns the coalition government could collapse should Olmert make far-reaching concessions to the Palestinians.

 
Industry, Labor, and Trade Minister Eli Yishai (Shas) told Bush that he is "not willing to compromise on Jerusalem." Yishai recited several psalms that emphasize the importance of the holy city.

"We cannot make peace with half of the Palestinian nation, which is all that is ruled by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas," Yishai added.

"We saw what happened when we left Gaza," Yishai said. "We cannot accept a similar situation tomorrow in the West Bank. Hamas entered every place we left. We cannot compromise on Israel's security. The problem with Hamas is that it wants to destroy Israel."

Yishai gave the visiting American president a letter from Shas spiritual leader Ovadia Yosef urging the release of convicted spy Jonathan Pollard, as well as a letter from Pollard's wife Esther.

Yishai raised the issue of Pollard's release, sentenced to life imprisonment for selling military secrets to Israel, despite the fact that Olmert had explicitly asked the ministers to refrain from doing so.
