Primates make terrible pets. They're extremely intelligent by animal standards, even the lower primates, and they need a lot of stimulation and enrichment in order not to get depressed. They will often engage in sexual activity that may embarass you in front of guests, etc. They can be sweet and loving when they're young, but as soon as they hit puberty, but they can turn into monsters who can maim or kill their owners in aggressive, non-provoked displays.

Also, they can carry most human diseases and can pass those on to their owners. Chimpanzees are believed to be the original source of AIDS, from humans eating bushmeat in the Congo.

With the immense strength of chimpanzees, trying to commit bestiality with them against the chimp's will would be impossible.

I wanted to add that a chimp can take a full grown man and throw him over a fence. So the bestiality story is pretty impossible, unless you had a sedated or dead chimp somehow.

I'm not against people keeping monkeys IF they know what they're getting into and IF they can provide a rich, humane environment for them. That's impossible for most pet owners but there are some few people who have the right resources and knowledge.

While some people can and do keep monkeys well, very few can properly care for an ape outside out of a well-funded sanctuary. Apes are incredibly complex creatures, and also incredibly deadly if they decide to hurt you.
