A nice L'chaim of scotch helps with the z's... Lagavulin, Oban, 18 year old Glenlivet, Dalwinni or Talisker  O0
"‘Vehorashtem/Numbers 33:53’: When you burn out the Land’s inhabitants, you will merit to bestow upon your children the Land as an inheritance. If you do not burn them out, then even if you conquer the Land, you will not merit to allot it to your children as an inheritance." - Ovadiah ben Yacov Sforno; Italian Rabbi, Biblical Commentator, Philosopher and Physician.  1475-1550.

Rice is a great relaxer...which makes sleap better.

Basically, don't sit in front of the pc the whole day, get out there...and wake up early, and you'll be able to sleep earlier.

No Coffee!

when I was young, like 12 or 13, I found it almost impossible to sleep. May have been all the chemicals racing around.

A friend also found it very hard.

Energy levels are affected alot by food too though. The effect straight after a meal.
And then also, foods that break down slowly, providing energy over a long period. Vs foods that break down quickly.
It is probably not so good to look at "foods that help you sleep" as a quick fix. It may be the time or times you are eating that is causing a problem.

Nevertheless, regarding quick fixes.. it`s not food of course, but I did once use "Lavendar oil" on a tissue.
It was recommended to me by a girl that used it successfully. It worked for me too.
When I was going to bed and really did not feel tired. It did help me to get to sleep.
