You have no idea how deep anti-semitism runs in Europe. And I'm not even talking about the Muslim population within Europe, I'm talking about the native Europeans themselves. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if this guy who did this was a Belgian.

The professor speaks perfect Dutch, with a Holland accent.

Wed 27/02/08 - The city council of Bruges,   to apologize asked the Jewish News magazine. The magazine wrote recently that an American professor for racist reasons from a restaurant was put on the market.

In January the magazine published the story of a professor who would put in a restaurant because of his Jewish beliefs.

According to the article in the Jewish News was also a man unfair treatment of the Bruges police.

Research shows that the man is no professor, but a fantasist. He would have reached the press earlier with fictional stories.

The Bruges Mayor Patrick Moenaert (CD & V) is angry because Joods Actueel has not checked its sources before publishing the story.

The city of Bruges believes that the welcoming image of the city is damaged and requires a correction of the true facts of the case and apologize.

wo 27/02/08 - Het stadbestuur van Brugge heeft het blad Joods Actueel om excuses gevraagd. Het blad schreef onlangs dat een Amerikaanse professor om racistische redenen uit een horecazaak op de Markt was gezet.

In januari publiceerde het tijdschrift het relaas van een professor die uit een horecazaak gezet zou zijn wegens zijn joodse overtuiging.

Volgens het artikel in Joods Actueel kreeg de man ook een onheuse behandeling van de Brugse politie.

Uit onderzoek blijkt nu dat de man helemaal geen professor is, maar een fantast. Hij zou eerder al in Nederland de pers hebben gehaald met verzonnen verhalen.

De Brugse burgemeester Patrick Moenaert (CD&V) is boos omdat Joods Actueel zijn bronnen niet heeft gecontroleerd vooraleer het verhaal te publiceren.

Het stadsbestuur van Brugge meent dat het gastvrije imago van de stad is geschaad en vraagt een rechtzetting met de ware toedracht van de zaak en met excuses.
