The UK press is pretty pluralist, there are newspapers (both quality and tabloid) on the left, centre and right of the political spectrum. Of course, being British, the conservative newspapers are quite moderate, respectful and civilised in tone
However, the broadcast media is totally and utterly dominated by the Left. The British Bolshevik Corporation is farther to the left than the current government. Channel 4 news is high-quality, but perpetuates left-wing, liberal causes and attitudes - to a greater extent even than the BBC - with some intelligent debate and airing of other viewpoints (albeit with a sceptical and condescending tone). And it is not just the news, it seems that all TV programmes are Left-wing (where they are political of course) they are pro-homosexual, pro-arab, anti-Christian, anti-religious, anti-Israeli, anti-British etc. I was naively looking forward to a couple of programmes that discussed religious issues (and it was
literally two). the tone was highly sceptical and very condescending and dismissive to Christian and Jewish believers, there was no effort made to examine the points that were made, simply referring to them as dangerous and naive. the rest of the tv schedule is filled with sin, immorality, greed, lust, all promoted as an ideal lifestyle - in fact they are simply promoted as though they are perfectly natural and normal, there is no shock factor anymore. you have to go a really long way to shock people these days... and in 2007 Channel 4 (a private ltd company but wholly state-owned) will do just that... [it is appalling and I am shaking my head as I describe this] they are sending male virgins to a 'sex school' for several weeks and then they will take them to prostitutes and they will lose their virginity live on tv... it is a disgrace
