Should the word gay be banned when referring to homosexual men?

But I admit I use it as an adjective to say "That is so gay." as an insult.

I say it should be banned to mean homosexual men but not as an insult.

Definitely not. Languages change, and the meaning of words with them. English is not like Hebrew. (In Hebrew all roots keep their original meaning). Gay is not the proper name of any national ethnical group.

There have been many words whose meaning might have really been intentionally and not naturally changed for ideological purposes throughout History and we use them.

It's not good to say that sodomites are a lobby and have and agenda. It sounds just like conspiracy theories. There have always been sodomites in the world and it's pointless to say that a person is part of a plot just for his private behaviour. There are of course some pro gay rights lobbies who advocate marriage and adoption, but there are sodomites and straights involved alike.
Just think about it, gay men and women are 6% of the population to say the maximum, who voted gay marriage laws in the parliaments? Surely not gays!!!!
