Northern Cyprus Opens Trade Office in Tel Aviv
(IsraelNN.com) Disengagement architect and Sharon-family confidant Atty. Dov Weisglass is opening a Northern Cyprus trade office in Israel. The move sends diplomatic signals that Israel is considering acceptance of the Turkish breakaway state founded in 1983 and recognized only by Turkey.
The office will be located in Tel Aviv
The Turkish presence in the northern third of the island of Cyprus is considered to be an occupation by Greece and others, including the United Nations and European Union, which admitted Greek Cyprus into its ranks in 2004.
