The IAF bombed a target in the Gaza Strip early Thursday morning after a Kassam rocket launcher, ready for use, was spotted by the military, Army Radio reported

Shortly after midnight Wednesday, Palestinians fired six rockets at the western Negev causing no casualties. Two of the rockets fell in Sderot while the other four landed in open areas nearby. All of the rockets were fired after midnight.

A woman was reported to have suffered from shock after one of the rockets that landed in Sderot hit a warehouse.

Media sources on Thursday hinted that the Kassam strikes were a planned response to an Israeli operation which left four top Islamic Jihad leaders from Bethlehem dead the previous day. Following the maneuver, the Aksa Martyrs Brigades said that it would no longer abide by an unofficial truce with Israel
