Yes, I agree that Spitzer's "playmate" will not find any sort of enduring fame from this sexual fiasco... She will be referred to on VH-1 and the E! network for her romp with the governor, but will not enjoy any lasting fame from this... She'll probably just retreat back to the Jersey Shore and work in a ice cream stand....

A book, maybe. And maybe a "Lifetime" movie about her life.

But not movie deals though.
People who are trying to start off their careers eventually do get burned and only become "D list celebrities" (in her case, an "F list temporary celebrity". The only time she will be spoken off will be in VH1 or E! when they make something like "The Top 50 Oops" or at a "2008 Year Summary". But that's all the spotlight she will get after this cools off.

I tell you, I know the business as I have worked with "aspiring" actors before. Aspiring actresses and singers can get burned very quickly. I heard of one who acted in a movie as a stripper and showed too much (in her birthday suit), and they would not hire her anymore and it totally killed her career and the movie reviews were terrible.

However, MORE famous actresses CAN get away with it and do, like Natalie Portman who played a "stripper" and showed A LOT and Keira Knightley posed NUDE and she got "respect" because it was "art".
In other words, if you are an established and accomplished actress, you can get away with A LOT of whoring and nudity. Beginners, it only comes back to haunt them. Like Cameron Diaz. Years after she was famous, it turns out she posed nude when she was starting out. The guy who took the pics tried to blackmail her but she fought it and won.

It may sound weird, but I pretty much live in Hollywood and know the culture. Nothing makes sense and actors have their unwritten rules.

So after this scandal this Dupre woman will not have a movie career. The ONLY movie industry that would want to hire her is the Porn industry where she would unfortunately be very successful in this perverted industry. Oh and yes the Playboy thing is obviously the next step for her.

But now, serious industries will turn their back on her and NO acting agency, movie studio or music record company would want to risk MILLIONS of dollars on projects on a woman who will ALWAYS be remembered as "the Spitzer Whore"
She's RUINED. She's getting her 15 minutes of fame and will go back to the shadows where she will be haunted in her old age as a "celebrity-wannabe-failure"

She may earn money from being involved in this scandal.

You're right Mills. She will never acheive the kind of fame and attention she was probably seeking.
All the money in the world won't help her 'self esteem' or mental issues.
She must have great mental issues - to prostitute herself for money.
High Class callgirl or taxpayer aside. There are no fancy names to hide what she really is.

I think any man who patronizes a prostitute is disgusting, but he was a married man with children which makes him even more disgusting...and of course any woman who would do that kind of this is a gross piece of trash. Women who think that men get all the advantages should stop to think here, he loses his career (rightfully) and she will become very very wealthy from this (not rightfully)

The prostitute isn't too much older than Spitzer's oldest child. So I think that part definitely pisses off his wife.

Spitzer should be prosecuted and face jail time. He stole someone else's identity and attempted to ruin another guy's reputation by using the other person's name.

But Spitzer hired expensive lawyers so they'll probably get him no jail time.

In the next Democrat debate before the PA primary, Hillary and Obama should be asked whether they would pardon Spitzer if he gets convicted.

Those companies risk a lot of $ on projects, that's why she wont make it in those industries.

She will probably continue being a prostitute when she discovers its either that or acting in porn. But will she become very wealthy, NO she wont.

I am sure the IRS is working on her as we speak

Just to clarify. Under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code generally you are still required to pay taxes on illegal activities such as gambling and I'm sure that prostitution is included in that too. You weren't allowed to do it, but now that you did you owe the taxes anyway.
