          This reason was probably rejected as being "too political"

         In terms of Jewish leaders/Israeli Politics Kirk would be Rabbi Meir Kahane(1932-1990) contreversial and with guts and having alot of followers called "Kahanists" Picard would be the Wimp Shimon Peres(self-hating, appeasing the Arabs at any cost, and a TRAITOR to the Jewish people and state of Israel) and Picard kind of looks like Peres
