There was a molotov cocktail thrown at a bus. The police can't find who it was, because the neighboorhood is keeping silence.
Today none of the buses drove out in Brussels.

Wed 19/03/08 - Public transport in Brussels is severely disrupted as a result of industrial action by the capital's bus drivers. The drivers downed tools in protest against an attack on one of their number by several members of the public.
On Tuesday a group of youngsters hurled a Molotov cocktail at a number 46 in the Brussels borough of Anderlecht.

In protest against this incident drivers of the Brussels local transport company MIVB at the Jacques Brel bus station in Anderlecht decided to take strike action on Wednesday morning.

In the course of the morning they were joined by drivers at two other Brussels bus stations, Delta in Oudergem and Haren in the City of Brussels.

The trade unions are backing the action.

Ann Vanhamme of the Brussels local transport company told the VRT that practically no buses were running after 6:30 on Wednesday morning.

The metro is running normally as are the services of the Flemish and Walloon local transport companies De Lijn and TEC that also operate in the capital.

Here and there tram drivers have also walked out.

This is the case in Elsene.

A crisis meeting is planned for later today. Police of the Brussels South zone that encompasses Anderlecht will also take part.

Well actually yes. How this for starters:

It is reported that two of Britain’s most dangerous terrorists, having complained that their fellow prisoners were “too white”, have been moved to different prisons – presumably with the blessing of Labour ministers!

Muslim fanatics Dhiren Barot and Omar Khyam requested a transfer to another prison from high-security Frankland prison near Durham.

Barot, many will remember, masterminded a radioactive bomb plot involving limousines packed with nails and explosives – whilst Khyam conspired to blow up the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent. Barot and Khyam are both serving 30-year sentences for their crimes.

They claimed that they were at risk from other inmates - who are predominantly white - and alleged that their prison environment was “dangerous” to ethnic minority prisoners. They further claim that they received death threats and attacks. These men, of course, weren’t concerned about an environment being “too white” when they planned to unleash their terrorist outrages!

We further learn, following requests for transfers, that Khyam has been relocated to Full Sutton jail near York and that Barot has been moved to “more cosmopolitan” Belmarsh prison in south-east London. Belmarsh, of course, is home to hate preacher Abu Hamza and July 21 ringleader Muktar Said Ibrahim and “caters extensively” for its Islamic inmates!

Understandably, news of the transfers has sparked indignation, with the Prison Service being accused – quite rightly in our opinion - of caving into Islamic terrorists’ demands. A spokesman for the Prison Service refused to comment – however it does seem unlikely that these transfers would have been permitted without Labour Home Office approval. .
