Flamingoes in Eilat

(IsraelNN.com) Approximately 300 flamingoes have provided birdwatchers a golden opportunity to see them in action in Eilat, where they have concentrated at salt pools, which are full of food for the birds.
They are located about six miles north of Eilat. Last year, a new viewpoint was built, enabling birdwatchers to view birds without disturbing them. The best hours for viewing are in the afternoon and evening, when the pink color of the flamingoes can be seen with the backdrop of the reddish Edom Mountains to the east.
