I feel sorry for both the snake and the baby.

The snake is being abused by having had its fangs ripped out painfully and by allowing a child to grab it. The snake reacted that way at the end because it's frightened and/or in pain. None of God's creatures deserve abuse like that.

The baby is in danger despite the snake having had its fangs removed because some level of venom can still be there if the glands weren't completely removed. Keepers of "hot" snakes in the USA are cautioned to treat their de-venomed snakes as if they were still hot because even with surgical precision, there's no guarantee that all venom ability has been removed.

very true. hehe, I was wanting to see how you would react...I was kind of hoping people wouldn't know about de-fanging, and get a fright.

But yes, you are absolutely correct, all the snakes that are de-fanged in india die because of de-fanging.
